Carbon Offset Generation
As the global market for carbon offsets takes shape, Jadora is identifying and developing new areas for carbon sequestration. Our team has expertise in biomass accumulation in plants, and our operations in sustainable agriculture, forestry, and wilderness creation absorb carbon that would otherwise have remained in the atmosphere.
Jadora is able to commercialize and sell most of this absorbed carbon as carbon offsets. We take projects from planning to third party verification and monetization of carbon offsets.
Ecological and Social Development
Our team uses the latest technology to assess the geography, conservation value, geology, soil, and hydrology of our sites to understand the environmental and social impact of our projects. We estimate rates of carbon uptake and agricultural productivity to ideally situate conservation areas, buffer zones, and restoration programs that maximize the long-term value of diverse agricultural and restoration projects.
Additionally, we engage with the surrounding inhabitants and use rapid assessment techniques to assess their social context and address sustainable livelihood needs
Socioeconomic Capacity Building
Conservation, environmental rehabilitation, and sustainable production in fragile ecosystems require buy-in from the area’s inhabitants. We use a strategy of reciprocity, where people engage in dialog on livelihoods and the environment to ensure a balanced and sustainable relationship between communities and businesses.
We understand the importance of employing local people to safeguard environmental and green energy production efforts and to take advantage of local knowledge and customs to find alternatives to unsustainable practices. Education and training, income generation, microlending, and other areas of socioeconomic development are addressed as a whole using an integrated plan for the environment and for sustainable production methods. Health care initiatives will also enhance the quality of life in our project regions.
